2019 Chardonnay Cassin Vineyard, Yamhill-Carlton

The fruit was whole-cluster pressed and was raised in stainless steel and oak, no newer than second-fill. 28% of the wine experienced malolactic fermentation. The nose is bright resinous lemon with a firm mineral backbone yielding notes of clover honey after some air. The palate entry is well-focused chalk and green pear with a ripe grapefruit and stirred-lees suppleness in the core finishing with honey essence. Drink 2020 - 2026 92 Points
